Not necessarily. Band Works can use school-owned instruments, an agreed equipment package or a hybrid. Junior Ensembles use only xylophones, hand percussion and boomwhackers. Lights! Action! resource needs, such as scripts, simple props and performance space, are agreed with the school. All supplied items and costs are listed in the proposal.

Band Works needs enough room for a Primary or Secondary ensemble, instruments, safe cable routes, power access and managed sound. Lights! Action! needs a clear movement and performance area suited to the age group, group size and planned activities.

Responsibilities are agreed before launch. Students can take on age-appropriate setup and care routines, while powered equipment, complex cabling and final safety checks remain supervised.

Band Works serves Primary to Secondary groups. Students receive instruction before handling equipment, and powered setup and pack-down are supervised. Amplifier position, starting levels, sound balance, cable routes, session pacing and listening breaks are planned for the year group and room.

Before delivery, we agree educator access, attendance, supervision, emergency procedures, student dismissal and relevant school safeguarding requirements. Any checks or documents your school requires should be identified during onboarding.

Activities use age-appropriate themes, clear participation boundaries and structured feedback. Students are not required to disclose personal experiences or accept unwanted physical contact as part of an exercise.

We plan around your term dates, session length, room access, dismissal procedures and existing activities. Programs can run as weekly ECAs, shorter workshops, intensives or showcase projects.

Band Works serves Primary to Secondary. Lights! Action! serves K1 to Secondary. K1 to K2 music is offered only through Junior Ensembles using xylophones, hand percussion and boomwhackers.

No. Band Works and Lights! Action! both provide accessible starting roles for beginners and more developed creative or leadership responsibilities for experienced students.

Group size depends on age, available space, equipment, program goals and the level of individual support required. We recommend a suitable structure after the consultation and site or inventory review.

Yes. Band Works can build toward a live set, concert or assembly sharing. Lights! Action! can lead to scenes, devised theatre or a staged presentation. The outcome is agreed early so preparation remains realistic.

Yes. We can map objectives to priorities such as collaboration, communication, creativity, confidence, musicianship or performance preparation. Share any formal curriculum requirements during planning so the scope can be confirmed accurately.

The reporting format can be agreed with the school and may include term goals, participation observations, rehearsal milestones, showcase readiness and a short end-of-program reflection.

Yes. Repertoire, scripts, production concepts and showcase formats can respond to an appropriate school theme, event or interdisciplinary focus when agreed early enough for planning.
