Band Works turns Primary to Secondary musicians into one ensemble. Lights! Action! turns K1 to Secondary ideas into confident live performance. Each has its own learning pathway and school-ready format.

BAND WORKSBand Works moves Primary to Secondary students beyond isolated instrument practice and into a functioning pop and rock ensemble.

Students use guitars, bass, drum kit, keyboards and vocals to understand how rhythm, harmony, melody and musical communication work together.
They rehearse real song sections, solve musical challenges as a group and develop the listening and stage awareness needed to perform with confidence.

Band Works age pathways
K1 and K2 music belongs to the separate Junior Ensembles pathway and never uses the Band Works pop and rock instrument setup.
Develop steady timing, accessible riffs, chords, vocal parts and clear ensemble cues.
Take ownership of instrument roles, song structure, transitions, stagecraft and rehearsal preparation.
Deepen technique, explore arranging, lead parts of rehearsal and prepare a developed live set.
LEARNING JOURNEY
Students explore roles, establish safe habits, develop technique, connect song sections and refine a set for an agreed performance milestone.
SCHOOL FIT
Room layout, instruments, amplification, safe handling, listening levels, storage, setup and dismissal procedures are agreed before launch.
Signature drama program
LIGHTS! ACTION!Lights! Action! gives K1 to Secondary students a structured, supportive route into acting, communication and theatrical performance.

Students explore improvisation, scripts, character, voice, movement and stagecraft, then shape those skills into a confident presentation for an audience.
Every session makes room for imagination while developing clearer communication, stronger choices and greater ensemble awareness.

Content, text complexity, creative responsibility and performance expectations develop with each age group.

SCHOOL FIT
Age-appropriate themes, room use, participation boundaries, scripts, simple props, supervision and dismissal procedures are agreed before delivery.
Additional school pathways
Early-years music and school-wide productions need their own structure. They sit alongside Band Works and Lights! Action!, not inside either program.

A separate K1 to K2 music pathway using xylophones, hand percussion and boomwhackers to build pulse, pitch, listening and turn-taking.
Junior Ensembles do not use electric guitars, bass, drum kit or the Band Works pop and rock setup.

Not necessarily. Band Works can use school-owned instruments, an agreed equipment package or a hybrid. Lights! Action! is planned around the available room, scripts, simple props and performance needs. Junior Ensembles use xylophones, hand percussion and boomwhackers. All supplied resources and costs are agreed before launch.
K1 and K2 music is offered only through Junior Ensembles, using xylophones, hand percussion and boomwhackers. Junior Ensembles are separate from Band Works.
Yes. Band Works can build toward a live set, while Lights! Action! can lead to scenes, devised theatre or a staged sharing. The scale is agreed with the school from the start.
