Additional school pathways

Support beyond the two signature programs.

Early-years music and school-wide productions need their own structure. They sit alongside Band Works and Lights! Action!, not inside either program.

K1 TO K2 MUSICAn illustrated teacher leading four children in a playful percussion circle

Junior Ensembles

A separate K1 to K2 music pathway using xylophones, hand percussion and boomwhackers to build pulse, pitch, listening and turn-taking.

Junior Ensembles do not use electric guitars, bass, drum kit or the Band Works pop and rock setup.

Can beginners join either signature program?

Yes. Both programs create accessible starting roles and progressive challenges. Students can begin without previous band or acting experience.

Does the school need to provide instruments or materials?

Not necessarily. Band Works can use school-owned instruments, an agreed equipment package or a hybrid. Lights! Action! is planned around the available room, scripts, simple props and performance needs. Junior Ensembles use xylophones, hand percussion and boomwhackers. All supplied resources and costs are agreed before launch.

What is available for K1 and K2?

K1 and K2 music is offered only through Junior Ensembles, using xylophones, hand percussion and boomwhackers. Junior Ensembles are separate from Band Works.

Can both programs lead to a showcase?

Yes. Band Works can build toward a live set, while Lights! Action! can lead to scenes, devised theatre or a staged sharing. The scale is agreed with the school from the start.

Which stage fits your students?

Try the program. Meet the possibility.

Start with a Band Works demo, a Lights! Action! taster or a consultation to compare both.
