Who we would like to meet

Teaching artists who make learning feel possible.

Great school arts teaching needs more than talent. It needs clarity, warmth, preparation and the ability to turn a group of students into an ensemble.

We welcome expressions of interest from music educators, drama educators and versatile performance specialists who enjoy helping young people create work they are proud to share.

Opportunities depend on school demand, timetable, programme fit and the requirements of each engagement.

What matters to us

Strong practice. Generous teaching.

We look for educators who can balance creative ambition with the practical responsibilities of working in schools.

01

Student-centred

You notice who needs an entry point, who needs a stretch and how every learner can contribute meaningfully.

02

Artistically credible

You bring a real music, drama or performance practice and can translate it into clear, age-appropriate learning.

03

School-ready

You communicate well, arrive prepared and understand that routines, safeguarding and dependable follow-through matter.

04

Ensemble-minded

You enjoy collaborating, receiving feedback and working toward a shared outcome rather than performing as a solo operator.

The work

Creative teaching with a clear purpose.

Depending on programme needs, educators may contribute to weekly school programmes, workshops, tasters, rehearsals, showcases or production support.

01

Prepare thoughtfully

Plan for the age group, available space, equipment, programme goals and different levels of experience.

02

Teach responsively

Give clear instruction, maintain safe boundaries and adapt without losing sight of progression.

03

Build the ensemble

Help students listen, collaborate, take responsibility and work toward an achievable performance outcome.

04

Follow through

Communicate reliably and complete agreed setup, pack-down, notes or reporting around each engagement.

Expression of interest

Tell us about your practice.
